DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
We take a partial deposit at the time of booking and bill the remaining amount automatically after the 14* day cancellation window closes for Cabin Suites or after the 30* day cancellation window closes for the Farmhouse.
If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 15 days* prior to your arrival date in a cabin to cancel your reservation to receive a full refund and 31 days* prior to a stay at the Farmhouse.
In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than fourteen (14) days* notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take full financial responsibility for your entire reservation and that bookings are not refundable after the fifteen (15) day refundable cancellation window closes.
Likewise if you have booked a stay with us via a 3rd party website, any non-refundable stays made directly with those companies must be upheld on our end.
We do not accept cash for reservations and full payment must be made prior to arrival to gain access to your accommodations.
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests.
HOLIDAYS, SPECIAL EVENTS & WHOLE BARN BOOKINGS
A 60 day cancellation notice is required on Whole Barn bookings and for Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays and special events including, but not limited to Hot Air Balloon Festivals, Octoberfest, astrological events, Grapestomps and polo matches.
CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER, SICKNESS OR COVID
Unless you've purchased travel insurance with us, sickness, covid and weather conditions are not valid reasons for cancellation; however, if roads are impassable according to the Texas Department of Transportation, a different cancellation policy will be instituted to make sure guests are accommodated.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We do offer travel insurance to protect our guests needing to cancel from: an unforeseen illness or health condition, adverse weather condition involving rain or snow, or other travel delay that occurs 24 hours, 2 days, or up to 14 days prior to the arrival date.
Guests who purchased travel insurance with us will receive a 100% reimbursement of their booking value including add-ons and taxes. The Travel Protection fee is NOT included in the reimbursement and is non-refundable.
DAMAGED ITEMS OR PROPERTY
Any loss or damage incurred to the property during your stay will be billed at the owner's discretion at a fair rate. This includes situations which require cleanings above and beyond the normal scope of our services.
TOWELS & BEDDING
Makeup removal pads and dark wash clothes are located in each bathroom, as well as, extra black jacuzzi towels for cleanup of coffee or wine spills.
Any bedding or towel found with permanent makeup and/or excessive dirt and staining, including but not limited to grease, wine, coffee, permanent dye or ripped will be charged to your room $25.00 Logo towel, $12.00 Bath towel, $10.00 Hand towel, $8.00 washcloth, $65 Comforters, $35 Straight & Fitted Sheets.
FIRE PIT RULES
If GillespieCounty.org says we are not on a burn ban and there are no winds you’re welcome to have a fire in the pit. Please always use good common sense when lighting fires on a farm. Never light a fire in a high wind situation or build the fire too large that embers begin to fall on surrounding vegetation or structures. Never leave a fire unattended and always make sure to put out any lit fires before bed.
If you haven’t purchased a Smore’s & Firewood Package directly from us, please bring provisions to make your own fire (e.g. wood, fire starter and lighter).
If Gillespie County is on a fire ban anyone who is caught starting a fire will be fined $500 from the county, so please make sure to check this.
WHAT TO BRING
If you enjoy ice in your drinks please be sure to bring some with you as we don't have an ice machine on the property.
We provide 1 carafe of filtered water in your refrigerator for your convenience and fill your coffee machines with filtered water upon check-in. If you’re staying more than one night we suggest you bring extra bottled water with you.
OUTSIDE GUESTS
Our venue is intimate and has a limited number of cabin suites and accommodations to help maintain a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. As such, other than our booked guests staying at the property, we do not allow outside visitors on the property, unless it is an event, whole property booking or you have direct permission from the owner.
SMOKING NOT-ALLOWED
Smoking is NOT allowed in any of the rooms or accommodations at A Barn at the Quarry. A $200.00 per day surcharge will be charged for guest smoking in any of the rooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Please clean up after yourselves by emptying ashtrays in the outdoor trash bin areas (not inside the rooms) and never leave cigarette butts on the ground or fire pits as the animals could eat them and get hurt. If cigarette butts are found on the ground or thrown in the fire-pit where animals can get to them, there will be a $150 charge.
IN-ROOM BREAKFAST
An assortment of homemade breakfast goodies and nighttime snacks are provided in your room for you to heat up and enjoy at your leisure. Food items are not replenished daily. Guests staying 3 or more days will be replenished every 3 days as needed. * Breakfast is not included for Farmhouse bookings *
STRICTLY NO PETS ALLOWED
For the safety of our animals and yours there is a STRICTLY no pets allowed policy on the property. While Lorenzo, Latte & Espresso all came to us from a petting zoo and are very docile and sweet, they're still animals. If they ever feel truly threatened or attacked they will defend themselves and could possibly injure or even kill a smaller animal if they are attacked.
ANIMAL SAFETY
All the animals can safely eat their designated treats, carrots and apples ONLY. Parents must supervise any children under 10 with the animals at all times. Children feeding animals should do so with their palms flat and the treat in the palm of their hand. Our animals are so amazing and trusting. Please, for your safety and theirs, absolutely no riding, picking up, hitting, kicking, pinching, pulling, chasing or any other forms of harassment of the animals is permitted. Any violations of our animal safety policy is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and if severe enough may result in those responsible being asked to leave the property immediately and/or a $500 fine if an animal is injured.
CHILDREN
Children are welcome at the Farmhouse anytime. Children are not allowed in the romantic adults only Bed & Breakfast cabin suites area on the lower part of the property, unless it is a Whole Barn, Whole Property, private event booking or another prior arrangement has been made with management.
OUTSIDE SECURITY CAMERAS
For your safety and ours there are cameras on the exterior areas of the property. Unless those chime when no one is supposed to be there or there is property damage, theft or a direct complaint by another guest, no one is looking at those cameras. We really value our privacy immensely and have the utmost respect yours.
ON-SITE ASSISTANCE
Our property is meant to be a completely private and serene experience where you and loved ones can go and relax and getaway from it all. As such, we will not be staying on the property with you, but are always available in case of emergencies.
