Only 6 minutes from the property, Grapetown Vineyards is home to Fredericksburg's only polo club and offers wine safari tours. It's also the only winery with full bar and offers a wide variety of fun festivals throughout the year, as well as, polo matches and hot air balloon festivals. Made most famous by Willie Nelson, but beloved by thousands of others for a lot longer than that. Take the beautiful back roads from our property straight to historic Luckenbach just 7 miles away to catch a show any day of the week, enjoy a music festival or snap a pic in the famous kissing booth and see the place that's been making friends, music and memories since 1849.

Don't leave Main Street without stopping by to check out Rustlin' Rob's. Go hungry to this must-do fun tasting family experience where you can try any product in the store with a huge assortment of jams, peanut butters, dips, pickled goods, jerky and hot sauce so hot you have to sign a waiver. You'll be sure to find some fun unique snacks and souvenirs for your stay at Rustlin' Robs.

Where rhinos and wine meet for a unique Hill Country experience! The Rhinory's focus is on world class wines and rhino conservation, allowing you to sip while enjoying the majestic beauty of the 2nd largest land animal on Earth. Their 55 acre ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas is close to everything, but you will be entering into a whole new world when you arrive.

Only 9 min (4.5 miles) from the property, Old Tunnel State Park is a beautiful park to enjoy hiking, bird watching, and general wildlife viewing. The trail is open daily from sunrise to 5 pm. From May to October you can watch a colony of Mexican free-tailed bats emerge from the tunnel which is quite an experience as they spiral upward 10,000 feet in the air.

Pioneer Museum complex showcases the region's German roots through 19th-century artifact exhibits & tours. It is a combination of a museum and a historical site on 3.5 acres that showcases hundreds of artifacts in 10 buildings. It is 12 miles from the property which takes about 20 minutes to get there.

Located on Main Street in Fredericksburg the Elk Store offers hand crafted cocktails, cigars and tastings in a sophisticated rustic modern setting with an outdoor patio. They offer handmade premium small batch moonshine, gin, rum and whiskey, just the way they made it in 1895 and it's only available for purchase in the store.

Head over to Main Street in the center of Fredericksburg to enjoy more than 150 shops, boutiques and art galleries as well as dozens of restaurants, wine tasting rooms, a brewpub, two museums & more. And whatever you do, don't forget to stop by Rustlin' Robs to sample all the fun goodies! Just 15 minutes away from the property.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is a beautiful wilderness area and a favorite destination for those who like to hike. The massive 425 foot pink granite mountain that rises above Central Texas is 17 miles north of Fredericksburg. Here you can hike, backpack, camp, rock climb, picnic, bird watch, study nature, geocache and stargaze.

The Speakeasy at Salvation Spirits is a specialty cocktail laboratory hidden in plain sight on a 10-acre orchard in Fredericksburg, Texas, surrounded by blackberries, peaches, pears, plums, pecans and grapes. Jenschke Orchards is about 15 min from the property and has been growing peaches since 1961 and offers pick-your-own peaches at select times of the season.. In addition to that there are other goodies to be picked when peaches are out of season. Heath Sparkling Wines is the first winery in Texas dedicated to the art of fine sparkling wine making. To our knowledge this is one of the lowest sugar sparkling wines. It's simply delicious without that horrible champagne hangover. The sparkling wines can only be bought there so you'll have to go there to try it for yourself.

The National Museum of the Pacific War is the only institution in the continental United States dedicated to telling the story of the Pacific Theater battles of World War II. Located on a six-acres, the Museum includes the George Bush Gallery, Admiral Nimitz Museum, Plaza of Presidents, Veterans' Walk of Honor, Japanese Garden of Peace, Pacific Combat Zone, and the Nimitz Education and Research Center. The museum contains an impressive display of Allied and Japanese aircraft, tanks, guns and other large artifacts made famous during the Pacific War campaigns.

Wildseed Farms is the nation's largest working wildflower farm with over 200 acres in Fredericksburg Texas alone. Visitors can enjoy a glass of wine, cold beer or other refreshments and explore the walking trails, take photos, buy wildflower seeds and plants from the nursery. There's no charge for admission into the gardens and they are open year round, 7 days a week. Walking trails close 30 minutes before closing. It is 9.8 miles from the property and takes about 15 minutes to get there.

The Fredericksburg Farmers Market is a seven-month-long, weekly event that brings locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs and cheese.
